The City of Cold Lake is made up of 3 distinct areas, Cold Lake South (formerly Grand Centre), CFB Cold Lake, and Cold Lake North. The primary shopping area is between Cold Lake South and North. Cold Lake North provides access to the water at the marina, beach and campground. There are a mulitude of campgrounds around the lake as well as excellent fishing and boating opportunities.

Cold Lake Fishing Derby – mid June – With a solid reputation for big lake trout, anglers from across the prairies, BC and even the northern U.S. flock to Cold Lake.
Aqua Daze – Held on Heritage Day long weekend
Maple Flag Military Exercises – Usually held between mid-May and the end of June. An opportunity to see military aircraft from many nations flying – Monday to Fridays.
