Denare Beach is a resort area 18 km SW of the community. Denare Beach was devastated by a forest fire in 2025 and is in the process of rebuilding
The Hanson Lake Road starts in Creighton and has limited services along the 320 km paved Highway so remember to top up your fuel tank before leaving town.
